Salt Lake City has been a public transit leader, but on bad days, we still have some of the most toxic air in the country. Chris will continue to work with UTA, UDOT, and the Wasatch Front Regional Council on innovative transportation solutions. He has also worked diligently to empower neighborhood efforts to address the safety, parking, and quality of life concerns of a growing city.

  • Chris has supported every public transit and active transit expansion measure that has come before the council during his tenure.

  • Maximizing sales tax, county funding, and bond revenues, Chris helped allocate more than $20 million in new street improvements and expanded public transit routes.

  • Chris led efforts to address the noise pollution caused by modified vehicle exhaust systems.

  • In 2019, Chris supported allocation of $100,000 to address speeding and other neighborhood traffic calming initiatives.

  • Chris led the Council’s efforts to balance first/last mile transportation options with the need to improve electric scooter safety regulation.
