In my time on the City Council, I’ve helped implement the City’s first Transit Master Plan with more bus routes, expanded service hours, better east-west connections, and innovative shared mobility options. I’ve also continued to invest in infrastructure that promotes more walkable and bikeable roads that encourage active transportation for residents and visitors.

Salt Lake City has been a public transit leader for the state but on bad days, we still have some of the most toxic air in the country. We need to continue to work with UTA (Utah Transit Authority) and other stakeholders to expand public transit options within our City. When we’re in our cars, we don’t get “stuck in” traffic; we are traffic. That’s why everyone needs to be part of the solution.
