In first budget I worked on as a councilmember, we made the largest investment in affordable housing in Salt Lake City’s history. But we’re still in the midst of a housing crisis and we need to keep making stride forward every single year.

The population of Salt Lake City is exploding but the percentage of affordable houses, condos, and rental units is not enough to meet the demand. While there are many factors contributing to this phenomenon both nationally and locally, it is up to Salt Lake City government to lead on equitable housing opportunities and long-term housing market stability in all our neighborhoods.
